Arrive at the retreat center, check-in, and settle into your room. You’ll be welcomed with a traditional greeting, such as a garland or a tika on the forehead, signifying purity and auspiciousness.

A simple, sattvic (pure) vegetarian meal followed by an introduction to the retreat’s spiritual journey, goals, and daily schedule.

Orientation & Temple Visit

A guided tour of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Learn about the significance of this sacred site and its history in the context of Vedic and Shaivite traditions.

Evening Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Attend the grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where priests perform an elaborate and mesmerizing ceremony with fire, water, and incense. This is a chance to connect deeply with the spiritual energy of the Ganges River and witness the rhythm of life in Kashi.

Dinner

Day 2: Yoga, Meditation & Sacred Teachings

Morning Prayers & Mantra Chanting

Begin the day with a traditional prayer or Vedic mantra chanting to invoke spiritual energy and peace. You may learn mantras like Om Namah Shivaya or Gayatri Mantra, resonating with the essence of Kashi.

Hatha Yoga & Pranayama

6:00 AM – 7:30 AM

A grounding morning yoga session focused on strengthening and balancing the body. This will include pranayama (breathing techniques) like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) and Kapalbhati to cleanse the mind and body.

Breakfast

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Light, nutritious Ayurvedic breakfast options, such as porridge, fruit, herbal teas, and fresh juices, designed to energize you for the day ahead.

Spiritual Talk on Kashi's History & Philosophy

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Explore the ancient spiritual wisdom of Kashi with a knowledgeable local guide or spiritual teacher. Topics could include the history of Lord Shiva in Kashi, the importance of the Ganges, the city’s role in Hindu cosmology, and the deeper meaning of life and death in Varanasi.

A balanced, Ayurvedic meal to nourish the body, based on seasonal ingredients from the local region.

Meditation & Guided Reflection

A deep meditation session by the banks of the Ganges, focusing on self-awareness, inner peace, and soul connection. You will be guided through techniques such as Antarmauna to help quiet the mind and develop insight.

Ganga Darshan Boat Ride

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

A serene evening boat ride on the Ganges, offering a calm and reflective experience while witnessing the city from the river. This is a perfect time for introspection, meditation, or simply absorbing the sacred atmosphere of Kashi.

Day 3: Rituals, Sacred Practices & Vedic Philosophy

Early Morning Meditation & Ganga Snan

5:30 AM – 6:00 AM

Begin the day with meditation followed by a symbolic or ritual Ganga Snan (bath in the Ganges). This is believed to purify both the body and mind, and it’s a deeply spiritual act performed by millions of devotees in Varanasi.

Vedic Hatha Yoga & Pranayama

6:00 AM – 7:30 AM

A morning yoga session inspired by the ancient Vedic texts. The practice will include grounding postures and breathing exercises to promote mental clarity and spiritual awakening.

Vedic Rituals & Pujas

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Learn about the different pujas (rituals) performed in Varanasi, including the significance of Shiva Abhishek (ritual bath of Lord Shiva's idol) and Aarti. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a small ritual or puja ceremony, guided by a priest.

Lunch

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

Ayurvedic, vegetarian lunch with local dishes to nourish the body.

Discussion on Karma, Dharma & Moksha

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

A spiritual session focused on the concepts of Karma (action), Dharma (duty), and Moksha (liberation), and how these principles are integral to the spiritual path in Kashi. Learn how the teachings of these principles help in living a balanced and meaningful life.

Evening Aarti at the Ghat

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Attend the evening Aarti at one of the ghats in Varanasi, where sacred fire rituals are performed in honor of Lord Shiva and the Ganga. This powerful and uplifting experience will allow you to connect with the divine energy of Kashi.

Dinner

7:30 PM – 8:30 PM

A simple, grounding meal of soup, rice, vegetables, and lentils.

Day 4-6: Exploring Kashi’s Sacred Sites & Deeper Inner Work

Morning Yoga & Meditation Sessions

Each morning begins with yoga (Hatha or Vinyasa) followed by pranayama to activate the body’s energy systems. You will practice mindfulness, learn techniques to quiet the mind, and prepare yourself for spiritual teachings.
